A Little Ketchup-
I am sitting here, listening to my computer chime every time an image is added to Dropbox- currently uploading images to seven folders right now. Thru my newly shrink wrapped and winter sealed office window- I look out and wonder when the gloomy fog will give way to the next 1.5 inches of rain coming our way for this evening. That would make it close to 9 inches we've received in the last two weeks here- with another two inches due to start midnight on Saturday, continuing into severe thunderstorms on Sunday.
Lola, still fighting off a mad tummy (she ate when Mouse is calling the zombie rabbit yesterday. A chaser to the gigantic bowl of fancy expensive cat food she wolfed down the night before), is sound asleep at my feet here in the office. The washer machine and dryer are purring in the basement as our lovely sick puppy decided to off tanker her bladder in the middle of our bed sometime last evening, us on;y finding it when we went to crawl into bed after a little drinking and Cards Against Humanity with Mouse and Ash. Hence- I am washing all the bedding to our bed.
Finally, I finished editing images from the car shoot I had two weeks ago (what's uploading in Dropbox now), hopefully ending the hounding I'm getting from ansty models that weren't happy with the images they got last week because they we're edited. Mine were all edited- finished that this morning, plus one other photographer's images were edited as well. Sooner or later those will be a blog post, but not likely today.
Today since I have finished editing and laundry is half done, now I have to turn my focus to the Avant-Guard fashion group shoot I am running and shooting at the studio tomorrow night. A collaboration of two of my favorite models, an amazing make-up artist, and the incredible creative sister unicorn friend of mine that does magic with hair and wigs. Fabrics and fake florals have been packed for two days now, riding around in my truck with me. Camera bag is staged by the door of my office. All that's left is confirming with my artists and models one more time, drafting publication releases, and last minute head counts- all of which has to get done today since I am working on my house with the SD in-laws (need to find a new nickname as they live here now) all morning before I head into Grand Rapids.
I'm slamming two Emergen-C's a day and chasing them with a fistful of vitamins as my body is trying its best to get sick, but I simply do not have time for it right now. Sickness would be considered weakness right now, and I'm fighting for every foothold I can get right now to stay in the game. An issue has risen at the studio with my fellow admin and he's trying his hardest to get me fired at a least two turns the past two months, for his own "personal reasons" and nothing I've actually done, so I've been assured. Like I said- I have no time to get sick right now.
I finished my first photo project in a while. A silly little "nominate someone" Black and White theme that I followed along with. I didn't nominate anyone as I've really grown to dislike it when someone nominates me. But it was fun and creative and tied my scatterbrain to at least one task in the past week.
Hopefully now that I've gotten a bit ahead on my editing with two shoots coming up in the near future I can relax a bit and get back to my art- the mannequin project has stalled as I've been busy and rarely home long enough to eat and sleep.
The in-laws are returning out west for a week, so I'll have more time at home to wrap up editing on past pictures from this autumn season, shoots, and a round of great images from my birthday visit to the gardens with Hubby. A little teaser from his phone... This, in case you're lucky enough to have witnessed this in person- is what happens every time I go to the koi pond.... Fish dig unicorns :)
