Onward and Upward

I haven't blogged since early November so as to keep my personal drama from overloading people. Life has been challenging and difficult to say the very least the past two months. And I am a person that really hates dragging people into my own personal hell because I hate making people feel sorry for me. At this point things appear to be on the up swing, if not slowly but surely we will overcome these troubles. Hubby and I have each, our furbabies, a roof over our heads and food in our tummies!! With the love and support of our families and friends- we will see the sunshine on the other side of this thunderstorm.

In other news... I haven't been shooting as much as I'd like to be. My mentor passing away in October really took the wind out of those sails. I have been shooting every once and a while. Naturally I have a list of ideas for snow photo shoots and willing models to do them- but here we are the day before Christmas Eve preparing for sever thunderstorms with a tornado outbreak predicted for the Tennessee Valley!!! What the what??? Last year at this time- we have over 50 inches of snow on the ground and miserable sick of winter already well before Christmas. However- what shooting I have been doing outside has been wonderfully mysterious almost. We've had grumpy clouds and lots of fog- both of which I love shooting in.

I've also been "experimenting" with intimate bedroom boudoir shoots, both as a method of learning something new and just plain 'N simple getting behind the camera again. I really dig the private yet exposed feeling of the images from these shoots... I have more done in my own home, just not edited yet.

I will be getting to editing pictures this week and weekend and hopefully posting some here next week. I have also been going through folders upon folders of "old" stuff editing and prepping some for calendars and prints. And by old I mean stuff I have shot in the past year, just didn't have time to edit them until now. Not having a studio has actually helped in lessening the amount of editing I have to do!!!

So we shall overcome and the sun always shines on the other side of the storm... Onward and Upward!!
