What I Am...
So- there has been more then a little negativity thrown at me as of the last few months, and some days it shows more then others the struggle within me to get over it and move on... So this is something I fell asleep thinking about last night- a proclamation of sorts of who and what I am. Kind of announcing myself at the top of my lungs for anyone to hear, even if no one is actually listening. This is me boosting my self confidence.
I am a woman.
I am a woman.
I am a powerful, bitchy, strong, puts up with lots of shit- woman.
I am a mother- while not of humans, but of my furbabies- two cats, one dog, and five guinea pigs.
I am a wife. A powerfully proud, viciously protective wife to my personal hero paramedic husband.
I am a sister. A very proud sister to a firefighter.
I am a daughter that was taught being honest is the only way to be- I just chose to be loud about it, often
cautious about being too honest, but not really caring if I am.
I think that anyone with the strength to work in EMS, Fire, or Police should be treated as heroes along with members of the armed forces. Their tolerance for trauma, gore, and stupidity make them more than your average hero.
I believe the military doesn’t get half the respect they deserve, and it sucks that people don’t back our men and women in uniform just because they don’t agree with the political assholes that put our military in the situations they are in.
I am an aunt that loves her nephews and nieces though most are scattered to the winds across the country.
I am a female photographer who enjoys photographing beautiful women in all forms of image- nudes, boudoir, classic portraits, out of the box images… I love making a woman feel sexy in her own skin. I have been called the most positive person in the room during a photo shoot.
I am not an ordinary female photographer- I don’t shoot only babies, maternity, and weddings. I don’t shoot wedding at all, actually. I shoot engagements- more happiness and less stress there J
I wave no flags stronger than that of the United States of America and the United States Marine Corps.
I am neither Democrat or Republican. I’m not certain I am even Independent or Tea Party. I believe if you think you can do the job and get elected to do so- then effing do it! I may like someone one day and think they suck the next day.
I believe it is my right to sit back and judge everyone equally. If you are in the public spotlight for one reason or another- prepare to be laughed at and judged by me. Many a snarky remark will be made at your expense and you won’t even know about it.
Along that line- I think that Miley Cyrus, Beiber, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Matt Lauer, Kayne West, the Kardashians, the cast of both Honey Boo Boo & Duck Dynasty should all be banished to a deserted island where there are no paparazzi or T.V. cameras and forced to live Survivor style for the rest of their unfortunate lives.
I believe that my opinions are just that- MINE. If you don’t like them- F--- off, please.
If someone has nothing better to do then to spy on me via social media in order to create drama and stir up unbelievable amounts of trouble at the expense of those I love- consider your pathetic self on the above list to be banished from life as you know it to that above mentioned deserted island.
I reserve the right to have my likes and dislikes waffle on a daily basis.
I don’t enjoy the Olympics- but I will watch them in quiet respect for my husband’s love of them.
I am a creative critter. I love to doodle in my sketch pads, I like making leaf castings from cement and painting them, I like painting canvas after canvas with my acrylic paints in my “blobby” technique. I like creating alternate lives for completely made up characters when I have the chance to work on my novels.
I love cranking up any of the following music and dancing my ass off in the kitchen- Gordon Lightfoot, Lady Gaga, Semi Precious Weapons, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, anything I can sing to completely out of breath and smiling ear to ear while shaking my ass.
If it were allowed and logical- I would have my ear buds in living every 24 hours to my own personal soundtrack on my iPod.
I work in a retail job that, while I never expected to be working one in my lifetime and occasionally have a rough shift, I actually enjoy and have made some great friends from people I would have never met otherwise.
I think that if you live in the United States of America- you need to speak the damn language. Legal or illegal- you want to live here? Then learn English enough to communicate!
I am a woman with curves. Voluptuous curves that I may embrace and love on Monday- but on Wednesday I may despise looking at myself in the mirror.
I think fashion magazines, Cosmo, and Glamour are all bullshit- cover to cover. But I buy them anyway because I need something other to do then play Bejeweled Blitz on the crapper.
I am that person that does indeed text, read e-mail, and check Facebook while in the bathroom. Not all the time, but about 55% of it.
I believe in the power of yoga. What it can do for your mind, body, and spirit. I also believe I don’t do enough of it (I average 30-45 minutes a day).
I have phobias of snakes, spiders, heights, small spaces, of seaweed underwater touching my legs when I swim, and the completely irrational fear of there being a dead body underwater where I am swimming.
I want more tattoos, but never seem to get more.
I think a tumble in the dryer is almost as good as running a load of laundry.
I love Goodwill as a place to buy “new” clothes. Come on, they are already broken in! And cheaper too!!!
I believe in the power of animal rescues and animal fostering, not mass produced pet store animals.
I am me. Nothing special, nothing in particular. Just me. Take me or leave me. But know that if you leave me, there will be shit tons of heckling and mockery on your behalf.
