In 3 Words- Ugly, D-bag, & Allergic

Image
Demo topic 1: The Ugly Bus.
There should have been one, parked outside, in front, in a handicapped parking space. Oh My God! I don’t know if it is the promise of freebies (pens, magnets, tee shirts) or if it was simply the chance to get out and shock people, but gees- there are a lot of fugly people in this world! There really are!!! Apparently most of them live around a small riverside village in mid-eastern Kent County. The teenagers there really need to pick out one shock value style and stick with it. Colored hair, satin pirate shirts, shredded butt showing jeans, and high heels- not such a good look. Others chose to wear their finest car wash rags (Ha! Like they wash their cars!) along with jeans to the event yesterday.
One man (I think) in particular struck me in such a way I didn’t know if I should puke, laugh, or simply be in awe of him. He was wearing a “Back to the Future” ball cap with matching dirty tee shirt, a floor length trench coat that should have been burned years ago…

Ice Storm Continued Blog 1 or 2 Today

Image
These are a few (the best) of the shots I took North of Rockford on Friday. I had to dedicate an entire blog entry to them, I'm sure all of you can see why... Stay tuned. By the end of the day today- I will have one hell of a Lowell Demo recap for everyone- including what were they thinking pictures and why I am now aware of my allergy to brown bears...

Up North Ice Storm- Blog 2 of 2 Today

Image
So these are pictures from this morning, north of Rockford. Sometime I really impress myself with what my little camera is capable of...

In work related news... Our company no longer services the VBEMS / Paw Paw trucks. A part of me is relieved to an extent. My boss says he's been waiting for the phone call for a couple years now since Bronson Hospital bought the company. Stupid politics, stupid stuffed suit, penny pinching bean counters, STUPID STUPID STUPID! They'll be getting their trucks serviced in house now (too bad they won't be getting the quality work we were giving them!!!)- no more super long runs for me. And that's where I'm sad. It was great money doing those runs (big time bad hit to my pay checks)- plus working in the annual purchase of 40 pounds of blueberries during a run each year wasn't bad! Now I'll have to waste my own gas and pocketbook savings in order to go all the way down there to buy berries- damn. We're down to one long distan…

365 Update- Blog 1 of 2 for Today

Image
Here are pics 11 thru 26. I will be posting more pics later today of the ice storm up north. Actually the beauty of the aftermath back lit by early morning sun... Tempt ya enough to look later??? ;)

Storms & Cold...

Image
So- taking the plastic off the windows recently was stupid idea. But then again- oh wait! It wasn’t supposed to get this damn cold again! We weren’t supposed to get snow after the first day of spring. AARRRGGGHHH!!! I’m so not happy!
The thunder and lighting Sunday night was friggin’ awesome! And also spectacular in the first lighting of the year fashion! I got a lot of great shots and looking forward to getting more this spring and summer.

Monday was a high stress day. Not in the work aspect but I tried to upload my photo portfolio to Wal-Mart’s photo center to get them printed up for me to pick up on Friday but no. I spent over two and a half hours trying to figure it out, trying to get them printed up. But no. Nothing. Two and a half hours of wasted time. I was so furious I was throwing things, breaking things, have an all out raging temper tantrum (of which I needed to sweep up broken glass in my office after). I have never been that upset over something.

Well- scratch that. I rememb…

With Spring...

Image
It must be spring- our pineapple is starting to bloom!! Everyone- Springs starts on Sunday! WWAAHHHOOOO!!! The official end of winter is upon us! Hopefully soon all the blah, crap-ta-stic muddy driveways, dead looking grass, and leafless trees will turn green and dry. With Spring coming, also comes the promise of more excellent picture taking opportunities.
And with the change in seasons, I have played around with the blog. Those that get it via e-mail, you won't be able to see the glorious changes, but if you take a few minutes and got to the actual site- you'll see them all. I added an e-mail subscription spot, a list of the most popular blogs of all time, and one of the coolest things ever- a list of my top 15 songs currently playing on my iTunes. I promise, it's worth the time to go to the site of the blog and take a peek.
Tomorrow I'll be helping Hubby at a demo in the Rockford High School- people watching and trying not to blow my cool when elderly fools ask dumb q…

I Am A Hooligan!!

Image
Hooligan: young foolish person who gallavants and roams the streets causing trouble. Yuppers- sounds like me don't it?

I cause mischief, I shit talk anyone, I cause a raucous, a fuss- wherever I go. I don't let anyone bed me to their will. I fight like hell to be true to myself... I am a Hooligan! And I have the tee shirt to prove it!
Yesterday- it was beautiful and sunny and warm! I plugged in my iPod and walked to and from work, but sadly- while I was walking and rocking out to Lady Gaga a little too ambitiously... I rolled my right ankle, and quite possibly my left as well. Ugh. Oh well. They don't hurt today but then again- I have been on 600Mg of Ibuprofen and Hubby wouldn't let me do anything last night if it involved me being on my feet. I had both ankles wrapped with Ace bandages propped up on pillows. So I sat an doodled on my sweatshirt while he cooked a great spaghetti din din. I added capers to mine, what delicousness that was!

But beofre he got home- I got an…

Oh- One of those Days...

Image
This wasn’t my intended beginning to my blog today, but it damn sure went to the front of the line in a hurry. I opened my can of Vanilla Doubleshot Starbucks at about 09:30 this morning Upon the last delicious slurp of it, something hit the back of my tongue. I promptly spit it out onto the kitchen counter and found this…

That right a f*ing blow fly! In a canned, sealed, energy drink that hasn’t been open a full hour, that never left my right hand. I called the Starbucks customer service people only to be told there’s no way it came from that can. Right. Cuz there’s a shit ton of blow flies whirling about in the brisk March air in Michigan right? I called her a f*ing liar (probably not the best way to represent myself) and hung up the phone. Disgusting! I’ve only thrown up once, but gag when I think of it. You don’t expect chunks of stuff to hit your tongue when drinking an energy drink, much less a damn bug! Ugh… better stop now before I throw up again. (Runs to the kitchen, swishes …
